Don't know what Goliad was doin on O but they had Sinton's D goin backwards for a while. I was listenin on the radio OUR anouncer sounded like he was rootin for Goliad. I think I heard a while back he graduated frome there. he was a lot more enthusiastic when Goliad scored than when Sinton scored.:p

They came out in a single back spread just like ours, only they have figured out how to run block from it. In the first half, they ran a bunch of misdirection at us and it was working. I wouldn't be surprized if they got more than 200 yds. on us. Our special teams stunk up the joint pretty bad. The O looked sharp though, so that's a good thing.

Well, Goliad got close to the 200 mark with 192 total offense(107 rushin and 85 passing). The stat that impressed me was Daniel Ramirez 24-36 -0 and 4tds. Good job Pirates.

Pirates should look at there blocking schemes and see what they are doing wrong, cause Goliad sure made it look like u can run the ball with that type of offensive setup.

Goliad had changed their offense because of Able Martinez, on the other thread I had said amado that was his brother. Since this was Martinez first game the tigers offense is much improved and they will be a threat to the rest of the district. It seemed that sintons offense was confused the first half, thats just me also the defense. They came out the second half like the real pirate but took the foot off the gas real quick.

What surprized me the most is how well the Tigers did on special teams. Their kick returns made us look like we were running in mud or something. We definately have some work to do on that point. When they kicked off, the kicker placed the ball flat on the ground and powered it up the field on the ground. That eliminated any big play returns from us.

Sinton has spent the most of this season thus far concentrating on the passing game. The line does a superb job in pass protect. It is time however to get the running game going. I'm sure the coaches know this, and now that Collins is healthy again, we may begin to see some of it.
