With UT's victory over the Lady Aggies in soccer and volleyball (two great well played games by both sides) UT gets the early lead and goes up 1.5 to 0. The points needed to win for the year is 10 points.

The competition is divided between sports and each one gets 1 point. Since they only meet one time in soccer during the regular season UT got 1 point for that victory. In volleyball the teams meet twice so the winner gets 0.5 points for each win. UT won the first volleyball match tonight so they get 0.5 points. When they play again in Austin there will be a 0.5 point available again. Playoff games do not count.

That is true AggieJohn. Last year at this time the lead was the other way around because the Lady Aggies won in soccer plus they won the volleyball game in College Station. I expected an early lead for the Aggies just like last year. The Aggies should get a point for the Women's Cross Country Track team. I don't know about the Men's team though. Our women's cross country track team at Texas A&M at Corpus Christi placed ahead of UT"s women's team at the race last week in Corpus Christi.
