I called a Smithville JV game last week and one of their running backs got up after a play and hollered at the coach like he might be hurt. I asked him if he was all right but he just lined up and blocked a blitzing linebacker on the next play. He left the game after that play and I saw the coaches looking for the paramedics. It turns out the player had a compound dislocation of his thumb. That has to hurt.
