This is a view of the Potomac River from Red Rock Wilderness Overlook Regional Park, which is about 40 miles up the river from the D.C. area. It's about a 1.5 mile hike from the parking lot to a series of overlooks on a bluff. The river is a little low due to a lack of rain, but as you can tell its really clean - look close and you can see the bottom.

no, my job is much more mundane ... but i am determined to see and experience this area of the country and try best I can to share what I see with family & friends & whoever wants to take a look
