Yea, me too. I thought we would be able to keep it closer, especially when we scored on the 3rd play of our first possession. Just wasn't meant to be. Marlin fan, chs_cg, chs_grad and I (and of course lil chs-cg) were at the game. I left just before half and brought the baby and this tired old grandma home. At that time it was 20 -7.

Kennedale 28 Everman 21 in one overtime. Every game seems to go down to the wire and Kennedale keeps pulling wins out of the hat. We better not look past Dallas Roosevelt.

First Congrats to the Hidalgo Pirates Players and Coaches. GT must be smiling ear to ear right now :D Also, good job, QB Nava and that #34 was a tough runner.

And to the Tarpon Players, got say I am very proud of you, the way you stepped it up, it showed alot character! Despite the loss, something postive came out of it; Offense got some invaluable playing time, something they weren't able to get, up until this game.

The first thing I noticed right of the bat, was the level of spirt and engery the Tarpons displayed, just standing there in line for the national athemn, something I had not seen the whole season up to now. Tarpon QB Carr played very good, he was able display his passing abilites, up until the 4th qtr, due to either our offense line or Hidalgo D or both. (Marky, Gustavo & our Kicker played well too.) I only expect the Tarpons to get better as the season progesses, the more playing time the offense can get the better. Because as we fans know, that in the previous games, it was just like 3 and out and not much time on the field for the offense. The defense should be more conditioned though because of this, since they have played alot in the last few games. BTW, nice 4th down stop in the 1st qtr by the Tarpon D. I see this game as a moral victory for the Tarpons. This is a step forward for the preparation of the upcoming games. Now put Hidalgo behind you and concentrate on Lyford next!

Go Tarpons Go!!!!!
