Everyone south of SA should get north and west if possible to higher ground. This thing ain't playing around!!!!!!

Yeah, the ego will kick in initially but if you have little ones- do it for them! This is no kidding matter! Even if the worst misses your hometown, better safe than sorry.... Otherwise you could be one of the people like the ones that the news helicopter filmed sitting on the roof of your house or floating down the street in a jonboat or doing something else that will make you say "Man, I wish I had left..."

We did not take any chances- we're hanging out near the General Store in Camp Verde.... enjoying a little Hill Country sunshine and peace.

Guys this is not a joke. This thing could be more deadly than Katrina. Instead of being brave please pray for all of Southeast Texas an Southwest Louisiana!!! And if you live in these areas GET THE HELL OUT!!!!!!!!!

If I were in the Coastal Bend or south, I'd ride it out. Otherwise, I'd probably evacuate.

On a serious note if you are in the path of the hurricane get out. There is no sense in risking your life or taking chances. I have a friend that is a volunteer on the EMS personell this week and the strom is being monitored. If he says it is coming my way I will go bye bye even if I have to sleep in my truck. I will know for sure soon if I am going or not. Be safe and don't take chances. I have a tank full of gas and food so I will be ready at a moment's notice.

With wind gust reported at up to 235 MPH, you'd think this might be under-rated.
I wonder who's alter-ego this is? Or is it just a parrot with access to a computer's keyboard? Hmmmmmm:thinking:

If you are thinking about hitting the road, I would suggest sooner than later. Travel times from people I have talked to: Houston to Fort Worth was over 8 hours, Houston to San Antonio they left at 3 AM and didnt get to San Antonio till 12. Each to their own but I would be on the road.
