I bet Port Aransas ISD will make a decision soon. Since they are on a barrier island, high tides can shut down the ferries to get people on/off the island well in advance of anything hitting the area.:thinking:

Due to evacuation routes, Hardin, Jefferson,Orange, Tyler, and Jasper county schools could be notified this evening. That would list a large number of schools. Silsbee's game with Cleveland is supposedly Thursday night in Cleveland.

thats a definite possibility.

on a side note, all residents of A&M-Corpus have been instructed to pack their belongings and be prepared to be bussed to San Antonio and Austin to stay in Dorms there until it is safe to return.

i think King H/S is closed too.... i was talkin to a good friend from CC and she said she doesnt know if here hose will still be there when she gets back (she lives 100 ft. from the water).... and my parents just got in to CC yesterday on a business trip..... sooo i dunno.... scary stuff.... i'll be prayin for all of u who live in the path of Rita!!!!
