At 3-1 on the season Devine is one point from being 4-0. Their one loss was to 4A Pleasanton by the score of 28-27. The warhorses appear be pretty good this year. Considering they returned everyone from last years 11-2 squad they look to be better. Pardon the pun, but this year they look to be my serious choice for "darkhorse" in region four.

DEVINE — Warhorses quarterbacks Jacob Campsey and Dustin Burleson combined for three aerial touchdowns Friday to defeat the Bulldogs.
Campsey connected with senior receiver Kyle Muniz for a 19-yard score with 1:12 remaining in the second quarter and again on a 37-yard TD with 6:52 left in the third period.
Campsey finished with a 5-for-8 showing for 122 yards. Muniz led all receivers with seven receptions for 134 yards.
Burleson threw a 6-yard TD pass to Chris West with 3:05 left in the first half.
Devine trailed 14-0 before Campsey and Burleson knotted the score at 14-14 by halftime.
Bandera's Chadd Heiligmann, who had 115 yards on 18 carries, staked the Bulldogs to the early lead with a 2-yard TD run with 11:04 left in the second quarter.

As good as Bandera has looked, Devine looks like the team many thought they would be. Watch out region 4!
