The Bulls did not find the "W" column again this week. Congrats to the Burkburnett Bulldogs for a hard-fought win.

Game Summary: After almost 2 full quarters of a 7-7 deadlock, the Bulldogs scored with less than a minute remaining on a 20 yd pass play to make it 14-7 Bulldogs at the half. The Bull "D" was much improved this week and made several outstanding defensive stands, including holding the 'Dogs out on a 1st and goal from the Bull 2. The Bulls "broke" on several key plays and had a hard time tackling Bulldog RB Nate Brown, who is bigger and stronger this year. The Bulldogs complemented this with the receiving of #88, a 6'4" tight end who made many key receptions. The Bull "O" again had a very inconsistent night and turned the ball over on 4 ints, one of which was returned to the Bull 1. The Bulldogs also returned a punt for over 50 yds for a TD. I was really proud of the Bull "D", they measurably stepped up their efforts and hustle tonight, but it wasn't enough to overcome the 4 ints. The Bulls are really going to have to put a good game together on both sides of the ball if they are going to have a chance against Kennedale next week. Go Bulls!

Burkburnett is a little bit tougher this year both physically and mentally. They are a pretty decent football team with real chances of making the class 4A play-offs.
