Tarkington plays hard and they show very good sportsmanship but it would be a shock to me if they made the playoffs.

Tarkington does play hard every week and for such a small enrollment they do a really good job. I really feel that they have such a good program that they are just a little away from contending. Not with BH or Huffman but definitly the third spot. Tarkington is a really nice place and alot of my friends live there and their sportsmanship is second to none.

Our enrollment is inching up each year.
Was 597 at last count I heard.

Yeah district is pretty tough again this year with the main 3 and Splendora and Cleveland both showing improvement.

They are finding some sucess building around that young qb. He is very good and gave our defense a little trouble last year. If their defense can step up they could be a playoff team next year.

If Barbers Hill and Huffman move up to 4A as expected Tarkington will definitly be a contender in the new district. Man I hate that Barbers Hill might move up, its always been fun playing you guys. It just wont be the same.

Hey I wasn't trying to bad mouth Tarkington. I mistaken by thinking that's the way it went down. I thought they were 5-5 last year. MY BAD! Tarkington is a good team if you under estimate their ability they will beat you just look back to 95 when Tarkington had their first and only win ever against Barbers Hill at Barbers Hill

They were 5-5, but did beat Cleveland in District...then Cleveland turned around and beat Liberty...who turned around and beat BH...who turned around and beat Huffman...who turned around and beat WO-S..

Jody does that mean WO-S sucks??

To the Tarkington fans: Matt and Mark Newton (who start for etbu at the corners) both had great games today in a win over hpu. Great kids.

I THINK TARKINGTON DOES VERY WELL CONSIDERING THEY PROBABLY HAVE HALF THE ENROLMENT OF SOME OF THE TEAMS IN THEIR DIST .

Haven taught them in HS I can also add that they are very fine young men. Glad to hear they are playing well.
