MABANK – Canton Head Coach Gary Joe Kinne was released from the hospital in time for friday night's 32-25 loss to Mabank (2-2). With his team trailing 21-13 in the second half he brought Canton back to take a 1-point lead in the fourth quarter but 4 turnovers were too much for Canton (3-1) to overcome.
Mabank used big plays to score three of their touchdowns and a bend-but-don't-break defense to keep Canton out of the end zone late in the game.
Canton had a chance to score and perhaps tie or lead 3:24 left to play in the game but failed to score from inside the 10-yard line on three consecutive plays.
