This game will be won in the trenches. Connally's twin- literally - tackles on opposite sides of the ball. They have a machine for an offensive line. Marlin's young defensive line and linebackers will be tested again and again for the next two weeks, but that is why they play the game.

Definitely should be a good game...high scoring I suspect.

Marlin's former OC is the OC for Connally.

Marlin is 3-1 entering the game with the only loss, a 38-35 loss to Bellville.

Connally enters the game at 4-0.

Last season, Marlin entered the game undefeated but suffered a 30-13 loss to the Cadets, one of the two losses on the season for the Bulldogs.

Should be a great game...

Gametime may move up but the game will still be played on Friday in Marlin. Unless otherwise posted, gametime is set for 7:30 p.m.
