Hey, I'm 4 for 4 on tough picks from the last two weeks. Hearne over Caldwell. Bellville over Marlin. Newton over Jasper (probably) and Liberty Hill squashing Manor. What can I say? Gotta love me! :D

UPdate. SIXTY TWO - 14 Liberty Hill over Manor. Halfway through the 4th. On a sad note, apparently a Manor DB broke his leg?

Man! Our defense was rocking tonight & definitely made a huge difference in this game! I knew they had it in them, would step it up and they didn't let me down. Great performances by all, but particularly # 55, Sr., Hawthorne (no not my 55), # 21, Fr, Lattimore (well on his way to possible district newcomer...I've been telling you for 2 years), & # 27, So, Gonzales (very nice interception...congrats on moving up from JV). Offense, great job, but the fumbles can hurt later on.

LHMom, sure sorry about # 44. And Manor folks, I hated to see the Mustang player that got hurt. Both these boys are in my prayers.

Way to Wreck 'Em Cats!

its like the NCAA 2006 game says...

"sometimes when your team starts to do everything right, you find yourself in a groove where everything goes right. these guys were in a groove from the opening kick."

:p I know it does look that way. We had several back-ups with lots of play time. Dustin Gonzales, sophomore was just recently moved up from JV, had 2 receptions, 109 yds, 1 TD. He also had some good defensive stops. Sammy Post, who normally returns punts, had 2 rushes, 59 yds, 1 TD.

We were behind mid-way thru 2nd qtr, 14-7. A muffed punt by Manor gave us the ball on Manor's 3. Defense held Manor on the next series, and 1st play after punt, Escamilla runs 90 yds. Lost fumbles led to Manor's scores.

It started out, the majority of the first half, looking like we were going to have a good game. After Escamilla's romp, it was a completely different game. Our defense was seriously the key, even though the score appears that it was all O.

Saw the replay/highlights from this game last night.
One thing.... Manor's uniforms look like a Star Trek convention.
