13-0 decatur...read this on another board

Decatur has had 2 TD taken off the board and had to settle for FG's. 93 yard TD taken off the board because of a personal foul (3 on Decatur in the game so far) and a 25 yard TD reception taken off because of illegal man in motion. Decatur just picked off a pass and is now on the Graham 40 yardline

I did say Decatur would lay the smack down on Graham. Just for the record. Graham isn't ready yet, still learning the offense.

Wow, this game was full of penalties, way too many penalties by the Eagles. The Defense played great and backup qb Colby White did a great job stepping up when Cobb was sidelined with an injury. RB Jacob Maxon had a great night, 3 td's, returned a kickoff for a touchdown and had 93 yard td run called back. TAKE IT TO THE MAX:clap:

Graham got manhandled on the lines, and their QB play was very inconsistent. Maxon had a hell of a game for Decatur. Kid has some wheels. Pretty physical game as Cobb went out early in the 2nd qtr. What is his status??
Everything was working for Decatur last night... but one very negative side. The penalties. Decatur had like 17 or 18 penalties and I bet 5 or 6 of them were personal fouls. Very classless play by the Eagles on those blocks below the waists, in the backs, etc....

actually there were only 2 personal fouls called on the Eagles. 5 offsides on Offense 3 encroachment on the Defense 1 on kickoff and 4 pass interference calls on Defense along with 2 offensive pass interference. It was a PHYSICAL game! Both sides were at each others throats even after the game was over. There were rude comments about Cobb after he was hurt . Yet i think Decatur did a ok job of keeping there mouth shut about it. It is hard not to even when a friend is hurt and taken out of the game.

Decatur was penalized 13 or 14 times for 149 yards. Of those penalties only two were personal fouls. One was a block in the back on either a punt, kickoff, or interception return. The other was a high low block that had no intent of being dirty. It was a kid just trying to make a play and made a mistake. Other than that Decatur was called on several holds and false starts along with 2 pass interference calls ( non of which were hits, but more like holds) and 1 encroachment.

FW Star Telegram had 17 penalties in their stats.
WF Times/Record News had 18 penalties in their stats.

Don't know who is right, no big deal. Games over.
Good luck to the Eagles and Steers this week.

Cobb will be fine - just rolled the ankle a little...Maxon does have some wheels and is all over the place.
As for the "classless" play I was there and did not witness any from either side. In fact Graham came over and stood behind the Eagles after the game while Decatur's school song played - Now that was Class!!
Thank you Graham.
