It looked close during the game even on the replay it was inconclusive but it looks like on this photo he was over before going out of bounds. Very close though.

Fortunately it didn't effect the outcome of the game and it may have been a good thing anyway considering our kick coverage.

How did the referee miss that one? He should of been right on the line and viewing the play from the same angle that we have from that picture.

Well considering there was a ref right there on the goal line the right call should have been made.

The real tragedy is that the 260 pound fullback didn't lower his head and bull into the endzone instead of trying to go wide and out run the defender.

The angle is all wrong it looks like a TD but where exactly is the ball , did it go out of bounds before he crossed the line ? The only angle that would have worked is a sky view and I dont think they had one :D

I agree that td could have ment the difference between a win or a lose. It was crazy. I know UT still won but it could of had a diff. outcome

In the NFL the plane of the goal line continues indefinitely. In other words as long as you don't physically step out of bounds you could dive out of bounds and as long as you broke the plane it would be a touchdown! Is it the same in college?

I remember this exact play, and it was definitely a td from my perspective.
