I found the following info. on texas footballratings and it shows 3-A teams have done very well against other classifacations for the first three weeks.
3-A vs 5-A - 0 wins vs 3 losses
3-A vs 4-A - 57 wins vs 49 losses
3-A vs 2-A - 73 wins vs 63 losses
3-A vs 1-A - 0 wins vs 2 loses- i was shocked that a 3-A team lost to class A not once but in the only two games played this year.

What is your thaughts on these wins????

I'm guessing the 1A team was Big Sandy? The same as Newton whipping up on a lot of 4A's, which they would.

Your correct EE, Big Sandy over Mineloa, the other game was Burkeville over Huntington

A lot of bad 4-A teams this year. Look at Nederland and PNG, just to name a few.

Thank goodness!!! I thought this was going to be a post about how bad 3-3A teams are doing against 4-3A teams. Now I don't have to respond "We know! We know already!"

On the 1A thang.. Dalhart plays Stratford this Friday; you might get another 3a goose egg there by late tonight.

Nederland or PNG would wipe the field with BH. Guess you will find out for real new year.

I hate to disagree Marlindogs but school enrolment matters alot when you pick from 20 players or several hundred players. Its just my opionion. anyway 3-A has done well against all 130 wins vs 117 losses.

That is no surprise to me, nor I suspect to anyone from SE Texas. One is a perennial powerhouse, the other ....... is a basketball school. Not to knock a "basketball school", but that simply is their history and apparently where their priorities are. I applaud them for even trying in football. There are two 3a teams in the area that do not even attempt to field a football team.
