Zapata (2-1) is coming off a 17-0 loss to Laredo's cigarroa and mathis(2-1) is coming off a come from behind victory at the end of the 4th quarter with a 2 point conversion for the game. So I say it is going to be interesting...any one else have an opinion...So the hawks are going to have to play tuff but they can win and win they shal

thats what the stadium in mathis is called its called buc stadium i dont know why if there junior high team are known as the mathis bucs..bucs..pirates...get it?

arent they doing some repairs or upgrades to the Mathis statium? maybe thats why theyre playing at Buc Stadium?

The McCraw Junior High mascot is the Buccaneer. I'm not sure why the game wouldn't be played in Mathis. The visitor's side was completed for the Raymondville JV game. It is pretty small compared to what it used to be though. Perhaps they fear overcrowding and don't want to put the new stands to the test.

i was at the game the hawks were ahead 14-0 in the first quarter with 10:00 then they could not score and mathis just started to slip away..great win for mathis and good luck the rest of the way..and for the hawks gotta work on those kinks
