see the A&M preview here and substitute the following words

A&M- The univ. of texas
SMU- Rice
Reggie McNeal-Vince Young
opening loss- opening win
Courtney Lewis-Selvin Young
Jason Carter-Billy Pittman

Some notes of interest- Rice played and lost to UCLA last week, and gave up 578 yards to the Bruins offense.....doesn't get much easier with the longhorn offense to deal with

Rice has lost 37 of the last 38 meetings between the two schools

Texas 49
Rice 3

i don't think a&m runs the score up in this one, and i don't think that smu is going to score on A&M that much......i mean you saw how their defense held SMU in the red zone

Hmmmm....I read his A&M preview and I believe he must've used all his thoughts on that one. Either that, or he was trying to beat KTJ to the first thread on the game.

I believe that all of you are greatly understating our offense. Yes the Texas defense will be a test tougher test than that of UCLA, but we scored 21 points pulling our first offense after the first drive in the second half. Texas offense will give our defense trouble.
Texas - 55
Rice - 21

Rice - 21 If Texas only gave up 22 to Ohio St. then I don't see them giving up 21 to Rice. Not unless the 3rd string gets put in by the 3rd quarter.

Yeah, I remember the one in 94. That was a tough one to take. Although it did make Rice's season.
