No telling? Some spyware programs are hard to catch.

Right now we have posters from Smoaky.com and TexasHSFootball.com reporting it, and I went there and my spysweeper alerted me as well, so Not only has someone told me about it, I've been there and seen it first hand.

Mine didn't alert me... that is strange...

I'll try some more after work...

I contacted Alan Z. He is lookinginto it. He said that some advertisers have been suspended in the past, from incorportating spyware into their ad. If it is there, it will be gone shortly.

The main thing that was strange about it was the fact that soeone posted this topic last night on their site, and then it was removed VERY quickly....They should have not done that..simply say exactly what Alan said to you but do it on their boards.

It is being looked into immediatley (sp?) it defiantley isn't anything we are doing....anytime you have advertisers you run this risk....I am sure whichever advertiser has done this will be dealt with severley by rivals

Txbroadcaster, You can sit there and say that I should say it on THEIR board, but you said nothing about the original post being on this board? I'll respond to any post I want to. As it was, I posted it to the Texas preps board, then realized it would be better to forward it to AlanZ, and let him handle it. Which I did. What I forward to this board, in my correspondance with him, is my business. You don't like it, log off.

WHOA I think you took what I was saying WAY WRONG...What I meant was that it looked like the site itself removed the post like it was trying to hide something( and I am not saying they were trying to hide something, but it LOOKED that way)....not you..I did not even know who posted it over on their boards and I did not know who took it off I was simply stating the perception of it.

Its not the TPX site, its an advertiser and its being taken care of. I'm glad someone let us know, because some spyware programs catch things easily and some don't. I hate advertisers who load their crap with spyware.

After posting on Texasprepxtra for a number of years, I know they have a very professional staff, and I am sure that what Producerbilly says is true. As I said earlier, I originally posted the thread from here, then immediately figured it would be better handled in another manner, so I changed it. The Texasprep board had nothing to do with that.

And I was never saying they were the ones who put the spyware on the site, I was just stating perception...and anyone knows perception to many times becomes reality.

I have been a guest on their shows before and know they would never do anything like that because as a person who runs a website myself, to add spyware will only make you lose visitiors
