Ok....Cameron beats Bellville so we're in 13th where they are in 12th. Bellville beats Marlin who remains at....# 10? I don't get it...

Maybe because Bellville has played a tougher schedule (Caldwell,Cameron) and beat a top team in Marlin. While Cameron has beaten Bellville then Franklin (0-2) and Fairfield (1-2).

dude, no offense to my Hornet "fans" but Caldwell is about as good (if not worse) than Franklin this year.

You are probably right yoefnshow, but it depends on where you start in the ratings. Then it depends on your schedule and whether or not you cover the predicted point spread. If you look at the ratings come district the preseason schedule will not be much of a factor, but if you do not cover the predicted point spread you will drop in the ratings. playing a better opponent and winning is better than playing a lower ranked opponent - nothing to do with the team, it just depends on where they start. As an example Marlin dropped over 7 points and Bellville gained over seven points since Marlin was picked by 15 points. Take a look at the 2005 Preseason Package under the link Preseason Picks and Previews.
