I have to brag that my daughter, 3A Down Low member LP06, Samantha Cummings (Shepherd HS), was offered and accepted tonight an exceptiional scholarship at the University of Houston as a Pitcher.
All of her hard work and sacrifices paid off!

Great News! I have seen Samantha under pressure, she is a trooper. One of the most polite and sweet girls in the HS and Select team circuit. The U. of Houston will have a good Pitcher to add to their arsenal.

Just in case any of ya'll are curious, right now nine months at a state school (A&M in my kids case) including tuition, fees, room, meals, and books will run you about $15,000 per kid. That does not include spending money, gas, or a vehicle.
No matter how much you save, it ain't enough.
I have two in right now.
That gives you an idea of what one of those scholarships is worth. Heck, even half is a chunk of money.

Thank Goodness I got in on the Texas Tomorrow Fund for my two kids before it ended.

The Texas Tomorrow Fund will only knock about $4,000-$4,500 off that total. It will still cost you $11,000 a year.
