In Abilene. I say this one is much closer than alot of the predictions I have seen. Vernon is liable to big play themselves into a tight game friday night. Wylie gave up way too many yards in kickoff and punt returns last week and Vernon killed us with big trick plays last year. This one could be interesting.

Anybody that discounts Vernon is an idiot. Not to say that AW couldn't win big, but I sure wouldn't start the victory celebration on Thursday. Vernon is always tough as nails!

I don't discount Vernon, I just think Wylie is going to be to much for them.

I think Wylie will be hard for Vernon to beat. However that said, if Vernon beats Wylie I would not be the least bit surprsied. I would guess something like last years game though. 28-14 or a 28-21.

I do not think this will be a blow out by any measure. Vernon will try and ball controll Wylie. The Lions have several good backs and #20 is a straight up tough kid that doesn't quit. Last week he picked up half his yards just by second effort. (This is a change from what Wylie saw last year in Vernon's HB) The Lions have a good team, but probably not as good as Wylie has.

I'll be at the game so who else will be there and will you downlowers meet at halftime?

I'm also going to catch the Volleyball game between Cameron Univ vs. Eastern New Mexico Univ @ 11:00 am at ACU and then follow that up with the Hardin-Simmons football game at 2:00.

I love Abilene! Great sports town...especially football! Hope to see some people there.
