Refugio seems to be pretty close to those (excuse me moderators) ass-whuppin' days...

If OG pulls this one out, they're a pretty dang good 3A team...

this game will be played in Refugio

They are a good team.....I like both of these teams and need to think about this one for a couple of days. ;)

I am leaning toward an OG win, but still might be convinced otherwise!:D

I dont know guys...i'm suprised to see the "Refugio by 20+" predictions....has anyone been paying attention to OG? i think this one will be close and could go either way.....

Those kids from OG are big and will shut down a running game fairly fast. I need to do my homework on Refugio. In years past, Refugio has been a running team with lots of speed...unless they are putting it in the air, I am afraid they won't get past Orange Grove....

They run a spread... i believe... thats teh offense that Jones ran in Sinton

Based on this schedule - Refugio by 14

Do not underestimate "the Grove"! They have played very well the past couple of weeks! Refugio has young talent but I think OG will muscle them around....

I think Refugio will win 21-7. OG's defense is tough against the run up the middle. But Refugio has the speed to run on the outside which will be the difference in my opinion. OG doesnt have the speed they had tha last couple of years.

Big differences of opinion on this matchup. Maybe this should be local game of the week? I wouldn't be suprised if OG beat Refugio but I don't know enough about both teams to give a decent prediction.
I'll be looking for the score on this one.

From watching OG play against Ingleside, I think they will win this one. Look for the upset.

This is one of the better matchups of this week. There are not many "must see" games on this weeks schedule.

I wouldn't call a 3A team beating a 2A team an upset, but it would be a good win!

All of the above is true...Refugio is notorious for running the outside every year and their speed is a huge factor. This could be a game where Refugio's conditioning could win or lose the game for them.

I agree this is probably the best match-up in our area.

Points scored 112 / Opponents 48

Orange Grove (Roster 39)
Yds Rushing 652
Yds Receiving 219
Yds Passing 214
Penalties 15 for 120 yds

That's what I was thinking.

Not only numbers, but I think size will be a factor. Unfortunately, Refugio didn't post the size of their players, but based on years past...they are normally fairly lean and mean. I think OG could probably simply wear them down, if they can catch them.;) :D

Balboa

numbers are only good for looking at... What matters is what happens on the field

Roster size may stick out to you, but only 11 can be on the field at a time. If your 11 is better than their 11 than you got what you want. BBO&B

Refugio seems to be getting the nod from the "pick em" people on the Caller Times forum

but then again....GP did too when playing Sinton.:D
