Got to report the "L's" as well as the "W's". The Bulls met a good 2A team in Argyle, who went to the playoffs last year and should again this year. Congrats to Argyle for the win. Argyle has a great band (not being funny here), and put on a great halftime show. The Bull "D" is still trying to learn the new schemes and it showed again last night. We had no answer for their tall and quick receivers matched up on our small, slower, DB's-- and it hurt us all night long. Argyle has a decent running game, also, to complement the passing. The Bull "O" was again spotty with many dropped key passes, missed PAT tries, penalties, ints, and missed opportunities, including a failed 4th and goal from the 2 with 2 ticks left in the half. The Bulls are not a very good team right now---but I will never take anything away from the players---they keep bringing all they have for 4 quarters---never giving up-- and this team will get better later in the season, and still think they have the potential to win the district if the "pieces" fit together before then. Go Bulls!!!

Football History Note- Que Brittain, former HC at Flower Mound Marcus was present and honored at the opening coin toss ceremony as both head coaches of Argyle and Bridgeport, plus a couple of assistants on each staff, had coached on Que Brittain's staff in the past.

The Texas Rangers always need pitching... and the Bridgeport football team always gets off to a slow start. The Bulls, like usual, will start to gell and come together during district.

Sorry to hear about the loss. Decatur also got ripped. I hope both of the Wise County teams bounce back next week. We want to see victory out of everyone even if we are rivals to the bitter end. After all, what kind of game would it be when we meet and we have more losses and less wins. We want upsets in District

Thanks for the well wishes. I, too, pull for Decatur each week, other than in District and that one special game on Oct. 23. There is no glory in defeating a markedly lesser team---it is the tough victories against the worthy opponents that we all remember.
