It wound up being more lopsided than I thought it would be. Shawnbrey had a pretty good night tonight with 189 yards on 10 carries and 4TD's. I really wish the OC would use him more often, but that's his call to do with him what he wants. I can guarantee though that if he uses him that sparingly next week against the Purple Tigers, it'll be a long day for the Trojans. It probably wouldn't hurt as well if Sterling would catch those 3 sure TD's next week like he should've done tonight. When you beat your man (or men since the safety gave some help a good chunk of the night on him) as badly as he beat that corner and safety tonight, you should come away with 3 long TDs and not 3 dropped passes. That just won't cut it when the playoffs roll around.

I was at least glad though to see them keep their composure when the officials tried to take over the game in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. Last year they might've come unglued and lost their cool, but they dealt with the bad officiating and didn't let it bother them so that's a good sign I'd say. I was really worried that DT Jason Thompson was going to lose his cool when that lineman from Crandall kept grabbing him by the facemask over and over throughout the game, but he kept a level head and just played through it.

Now it's on to the South Dallas Super Bowl and the Purple Tigers. I can't wait for this one next Saturday. Hopefully the losing streak that dates back to 1998 will end this year. :)

Nobody came close to a Madison DT's facemask. I have no idea where you are getting that from. It was a hard hitting, well played game. It wasn't as lopsided as the score would indicate either. Crandall was in it well into the fourth quarter.
