Ray beat the Sinton Lady Pirates in points tough to come by last night 3 to 1. Sinton had beat them by that same score in Sinton just a few weeks ago so it shows that having the home court is a big advantage sometimes. I didn't go to the game but heard it on the news last night. Probably if it had been the other way like a few weeks ago it wouldn't have been reported at all. :)
Not bitter - just telling it like it is as HC would say. :)

Bellville played dual match with Alief Taylor and Katy taylor.
Alief was overmatched with both Katy and Bellville. Bellville won in three 25-10,25-10 & 25-13.
In match between Bellville and Katy Taylor, it looked like teams changed uniforms middle of match.
Bellville won match, 13-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-17, 15-6. Bellville seemed to get better as match went on, or else Katy taylor got worse. Probably combination.

I would say they are doing well indeed. They are in a tough district but I think they might be able to get into the playoffs with a second or third place spot. They are 6 - 2 at the last update. Unfortunately they don't get local press coverage like they should. Two of their loses were to Corpus Christi King who is usually a very good 5A school and also to 2A George West who is a very good team in their class. They did beat Corpus Christi Carroll 3 to 0. Here is a link about them. Hope it works.

hey, CHS_CG, the lady hornets need to schedule schools a little closer to them.
Why are they playing all those schools down south?
George West and Corpus are pretty long road trips for them.

By the way, I don't know how the (Caldwell) Lady Hornets are doing. Bellville usually goes east to play while Caldwell goes west. We don't run across them prior to playoffs.

Well Caldwell is who I was wondering about. I find myself not keepin up with anything but football and sometimes basketball since I have been out of HS!

it was a joke.
Momma always told me if you had to explain your jokes, they weren't very funny, so I apologize.
I had no idea Flour Bluff had mascot of hornets.

Isn't flour bluff what they use to make no carb bread? Or is that some type of fake flour?
