in 4A....Calallen is on the fence...they COULD have a great year if they can hold it together...but realistically they are rebuilding this year.....i say Flour Bluff is the 4A team to beat in the Corpus area this year w/ GP and Calallen having a sub-par year when compared to what they are used to having.

man the snyder sweetwater game this year is gonna be a shootout. Isnt it in snyder this year

heck yes...and i think the homefield advantage will put us over the edge on it...its gonna be a great game...probably the game of the year for both teams..til playoffs....

If you read this line in the content before the rankings:

"In 4A, No. 3 Boerne fell completely out of the poll with a 42-24 loss to Wolfforth Frenship"

you will see that this was LAST WEEK's rankings... Boerne lost to Wolfforth Frenship in the HEB Kick-off Classic last week in SA...

These are also based off of Dave Campbell's Mag, not AP...

I get so confused sometime on who in the heck you consider East tx one day WO and Jasper and Newton are east tx then another day we are SE texas. I guess it all depends on what poll you dont want us to be in. and there are days when we are called the backwoods boys. well we still have our woodsheds !!!!! and the whippen branch is still there a hangen:evilgrin:

shor nuff J dog,,,,,let me just calm down and drink some of dem sqweeezens and watch dat grass grow.:D Im a thinken im gonna head on in and watch dat der moving picture tube:p wonder how dey get dem people in dat little ol box:confused:

Backwood poll

1. WO-S (de doing some hind end kicken)
2. Jasper (de doing some 4A hind end handen too)
3, Newton (De will smack everybody)
4. Spurger (de would kick some country butt if they played football)

5-10 who cares dey aint from de backwoods
