Since there are threds on best new QB and Recievers, i figured why not see who ya'll think have been the most productive in the running game so far?

I think that D'White Wells has been fairly underrated so far and that he's gonna have a big year.

Parris Brown of Hallettsville has 319 after two games... smaller back, but quick...

Fabian Olguin of Cuero is at 205 right now... jr... quick, powerful but small... really good at protecting the ball, which has to add into the mix somewhere... but not the best... just letting you know what I know...

Latreal Cooper of Cuero who has already committed to A&M has I believe 40 yards right now... when he feels more confident with his knee and gets his full speed back you'll be hearing a lot of him...

that's about all I know of...

All of Jasper's backs as a group. They seem to be rotating 4 or 5 guys throughout the game to keep them all fresh. From what I saw they all looked good, but no one is going to have great totals with the rotation.

more on wells

so far hes got 101 yards rushing in 23 attempts...its a slow start but he'll pick up quickly. 1 Td and 26 yards recieving...but give him another game and he'll show why hes a good RB.

i say sweetwater has one of the most lethal backfields in the state....they wont have a SINGLE stud runningback rackin up 2,000 yards this season, cuz they have several runningbacks who all share the load, so therefore i dont think u can count whoever has the most yds, etc. as the best RB

ya but if ya look at totals for instance s'waters backs totals against snyder's or wylie's it would take quite a few comparisons but you could do it...just but ya...

well then we'll just say ya'll have several exceptionally talented running backs who equally run the ball and snyder has 2 or 3 that run alot....sounds better to me!

I was at the Gobbler practice today, and Latreal Cooper is back!!!! He was making the defensive backs look bad, he's about down to a 4.6 40 now!

From what I saw of Cooper last Friday was a great running back with a mediocre knee. He never was running 100%, maybe a close 75%. I am sure once he gets his knee all straightened out he will be back.

The Decatur Eagles have a couple well talented options to go to for RB this year and they are..Jacob Maxon, Joseph Sanchez, Dean Bible, and Jerrod Spence

I agree that Sweetwater has one of the scariest looking backfields that I've seen. There isn't much drop off from one back to the next. Everyone back there is a threat.

Nick Schrock, LH - 22 attempts, 303 yds, 13.78 yds/carry
Matt Escamilla, LH - 27, 263, 8.4
Casey Kociuba, LH (1 game only) - 17, 156, 9.18

In the central Texas area, Brock Fitzhenry (Giddings) is the only player ahead of Schrock with 33 attempts, 350 yds, 10.6/carry.

BH Eagles also has serveral good players , QB - Chris Daniels is having a good year so for . He has managed to lead his team to 2 wins scoring 40 + point each game . Behind him is Bryan Gilbert that has ran over 100 yrds in each of those games , if fed the ball , 1000+ yards for him is not going to be a problem. Along with Gilbert in the back field is Patton. Who is also a very hard runner and is capable of racking up allot of yards. But so for this season , Gilbert has shown he can be one of the top backs in the state.

Let me say again how I cant wait for the Barbers Hill vs Columbia game. We have another running back named LaQuincy Baugh and damn he is fast. I think he already has 3 TD's. And thats playing behind Jared Flannel and Donald Scott.

Barbers Hill vs Columbia should be a great game , two teams with allot of desire to win . It should be a good match up . I know if Gilbert is ran enough , it will open up the passing game which will cause Columbia lots of problems . Vidor was able to hang in there for a little while until Gilbert started to run consistantly , then Daniels went to town in the air and from there the game was over .
