SMU wasnt as much trouble as Baylor was to itself.....We had the ball inside the 20, 4 times in the first half and only got one field goal outa it and we had about 70 something yards in penalities....the defense really dominated SMU, SMU's scored twice after 2 turnovers inside the 20, they really only had 1 legit drive.....the Baylor offense woke up FINALLY half way through the 3rd quarter and scored on 3 of it's last 4 drives....70 yards, 93 yards, and 80 yards....if Baylor scores in teh first half when they had the ball inside the 20 so many times the game is a blowout by the half....it really shouldve been 31-7 at the half....but it wasnt....SMU's final TD came w/ 15 seconds left, Baylor's prevent wasnt too preventive as SMU drove the field in like 50 seconds....really shouldve ended 28-17.......

ok lotta crap basically to say Baylor is gonna be better this year than they have been....progress from last year is obvious from waht i saw/heard....the defense was well improved and special teams were really good, as long as the offense gets going we will be competitive come big 12 time....and a 3-0 start is very possible for the Bears since we got the road monkey off our back, games at home against Samford and on the road against Army are very winnable, just gotta go take care of buisiness....

I was at the game last night. Baylor hurt themselves with penalty after penalty, which was aided by the CUSA officating crew. But, I am happy, Guy Morriss has lots of things to work on with the guys this week, and can show them that if we don't execute we can even lose to a team like SMU. Just happy we didn't have to take a loss to prove that point.

thats good...if u go to the Baylorfans.com board u'd think that we'd just lost the game according to them.....i have watched enough college football in my life to know that it was just the first game and we dont have preseason so we shouldnt panic...we get another game to prepare before we go on the road against army which will be big, if we start 3-0 we have a shot at a bowl and that to me is huge....some people over on baylorfans need to chill out, we hadnt won on the road in 5 years, it was an ugly win but atleast it is a W....hopefully when we play army it will be a lot prettier on the road....but for now we are 1-0 for the first time in several years...sic'em!
