Cameron won 28-24. Both teams had several penaltys and costly turnovers, but Bellville getting a late 4th Qtr delay of game penalty might of cost them the game. Bellville's defense came up with a huge interception with less than 3 minutes in the game. Bellville needing one or two first downs to run out the clock, were flagged on the very first play. This was a huge mental mistake for the Brahmas. Cameron's defense held and their offense came up with several key plays, before completing a 31 yd pass play for the winning score. Congratulations to Cameron! They have a very dangerous team and I look for them to go deep in the playoffs. Both teams treated the crowd to a really great game. Bellville showed that they can compete with the top 3A teams. Their fans should be very proud of their great effort. This team will only get better and I expect them to make some noise in the post season.

sounds like the Marlin Vs Bellville game will be like the 2002 and 2003 Match ups... Cant wait to see this one!!!

Hopefully, Bellville can play Marlin like those 2002 & 2003 games. Bellville has a very tough pre-district schedule, that should prepare them for district and the playoffs. Playing Marlin will be a good gauge on what this team can expect in the playoffs.
