TRYING TO RENT FOOTBALL SUITS

The following is a quote from the Ballinger Ledger Oct.5,1915. Over two hundred ollars worth of football suits,shoes and balls burned last night in a fire.Every effort is being made to secure enough material to play the game with Santa Anna tomorrow on secheduled time.The boys may be handicapped for football suits and balls but they will not be short on spirit when 3;30 Saturday comes. I believe I would have been considerably short in spirt after a loss like that.

I was making the point that all the equipment for the team was valued at two hundred dollars. It costs more than that to equip one boy from the waist up now.I can't imagine what else you could have got from the article.
