not over-rated at all. This libtery hill team is as good if not better than last year. Stifflemire could be an answer as to why LH lost, or maybe superb coaching on coach shipleys part. With 9 minutes left in the first quater burnet had managed 21 points without the LH offense taking the feild. SHipley knew how to beat LH, that's why they LH lost. They played Keep away. And Lh gave up about 5 or 6 fumbles...thatll always kill ya. BUT on a side note keep an eye on stifflemire, the burnet qb, he tore up LH worse than Mcgee ever did.

Looks like two high powered offenses or just no defense

Our starting defense was worn out. Score was 21-0 at the end of the first qtr - onside kick by Burnet at 14-0. They pull out all the stops. The second half, at least 3 of our starters were playing both sides of the ball almost every play. Aggie Bob hit the nail on the head - Shipley knows how to beat us and will do so as badly as possible.

OK - I hope my Burnet friends don't take this too personally. But I am going to be honest, I think the on-sides kick when you are up 14 points at only 4 minutes in to the game is kind of crappy. I fully agree you do whatever you need to do to win but that is the kind of thing that makes many people dislike Shipley or Burnet as a whole.

Doing that type of stuff early in the game is football. Special teams are huge, seems as if LH was not ready to play. Now, if Burnet was up big late, then onside kicked, that would be rubbing salt in the wound. Deception is half the battle!!!

Deception is half the battle!!! Liberty Hill should know that better than anyone, lol. Their whole scheme is deception. I agree, it's LH's fault they weren't ready for an onside in the 1st quarter, not Burnet's. It's not like we did it in the 4th quarter when we were up by 30.

I have a question...why were so many players playing both offense and defense so much of the game???? Isn't that a little odd??
