If coloring were not added to Coca-Cola it would be green?

That's false...

My cousin's husband was a chemist for the coca-cola syrup plant in Cuero...

It's natural color... The only color change is when the carbonated water is added, the formula goes from pitch-black to what you see now...

NOW, that's what I was told, maybe he didn't go into 'all' of the details......

Just wondering, I got an e-mail today and it stated that coke would be green....I just couldn't see it being green. Maybe I will call/write them and ask.

the idea of green coke doesn't even sound good. all I know is that when they used to ship that stuff in railcars, if it spilled, it would do damage to the cars. Must be the acid in it.

Why do they add caramel coloring? I agree green coke is NOT appealing!!! It is kind of like green or purple ketchup.....we almost never got rid of that purple ketchup we had, no one wanted to eat it.

I agree with you on the colored ketchup. My kids loved it though.

For those of you who drink diet Coke. Did you know artificial sweeteners are a major source of flatulence?

Accually the Coke of today and the Coke of yesterday (The kind shipped in rail-cars) had different ingredients... One of those main ingredients? Cocaine (hint hint)...

Have you guys seen the green hershey's syrup? Has something to do with The Hulk. But when you would put it in your milk it turns it green.

I agree, don't go changing the colors on things that have been around forever.....green and purple ketchup are just plain gross!

Do any of you remember the flavored peanut butter called "Koogle" I believe. They had chocolate peanut butter, banana peanut butter, etc. It was nasty.
I also saw the peanut butter and jelly together in a jar last week. I didn't even know they made that crap anymore!!!

A while back they came out with pink/light blue butter. In a squeezable container.

Maybe you have just always been "gassy" so you don't notice any difference!! :D

Maybe you have just always been "gassy" so you don't notice any difference!! :D Some of the "sugar alcohols" from the sugar free stuff will cause the gassiness. Pudlugger help us out on this...you are the expert. (Medical not gas wink )
