The three team playoffs offer a lot of teams that are subpar an oppertunity to make playoffs .In most cases they get beat pretty bad .I have seen teams with 3-7 records in the playoffs .I think that two teams would be plenty .

I used to think sending 3 teams to the playoffs was excessive, but after 2004 I changed my mind! :) ;) Sometimes a 3rd place team does very well in the playoffs.

look at what bandera did the year they won state they were 3rd in their district

What I don't like is having a Division 1 and 2 playoff system. I don't care if everyone in district makes the playoffs but just one champion from each class. We are starting to get closer to California style.

Playoffs would last through the end of February almost. :eek:
