Bh vs Vidor

Barbers Hill plays Vidor at home next Friday night. BH beat them in Vidor last year, but from what I hear, return alot of starters from that team. Predictions? I still hafta go with my Eagles 35-17. Vidor won their opening game against Gulf Shores 29-0. I thought they only played basketball.............

KTJ, I have to agree with you on that one. I'm not sure what its like now but I heard it was bad. I'm not sure if I'm aloud to say this but Iheard you couldn't even stop to put gas if you weren't white. I hope I don't run out of gas going to Louisiana LOL, I drive through there alot when I go offshore.:thinking:

I've seen other races in Vidor before. I think it's a stretch to say you can't put gas in your tank. There are some racists in Vidor but the whole town is not that way

The whole town may not be racists, but they do very little to stop those who are, and where they are racist or not they have some of the worst sportsmanship I have ever seen. They walk the vistors through the home stands and line the walk way saying some very racist things.
Very glad the game is on the Hill this year.

I think that Vidor may win this one. They have a great team back. Many years ago I coached their coach, Jeff Mathews for several years in Junior Football; he also played HS at the same time as my son and son-in-law. Mathews is a really good man and a well respected Coach. They are in a tough District and are going to be hard for BH to beat. If the Eagles can take them they have beaten a good team and my hat will be off to BH if they win.

Last year it seemed that Vidor couldn't hang late in the game. I think the second half was all BH. They do have one stout team though and a very good back. I see it being tied at 21 at the mid way point and then BH pulls away in the second half. BH 42 Vidor 28.

I guess Vidor will just have to shut every one up when district rolls around. Friday night was a very low key game, coach matthews used it to play his 2nd string in late 3rd Quarter and all of 4 th. Barbers hill is a good team but I am sure Vidor will be able to destroy them. I too wish that we could play wos or bc, or OF but its not up to the people of Vidor its up to Matthews

yeah, read some other posts concerning that. said Vidor didn't score until about 3 min left in the 1st quarter. Of course, all it is is talk, and the pads will do the talking on Friday night. Go Hill!!!!

Eagle eyes if Vidor played people like WOS or BC their season would go down the drain. There is no way Vidor could hang with them because they cant even hang with BH.

This will not be an easy game for BH. Vidor is returining 20 starters from last years team and something like 33 letterman. Vidor had a poor year last year, but they could squeez into the 3 spot in their tough district. BH will have to hang on to the ball this week. It didn't hurt us last week when we fumbled 3 times, but this week it could. BH 21 Vidor 10.

I do think this will be a tough game for Barbers Hill but it is one that they should win. Conditioning should be a big part of this game because it will be really hot and humid. I don't know much about the Vidor program but the Hill is always a well conditioned team.

I do know alittle about Vidor, their OL averages 283, thats alot of weight to be pushing around for 4 qtr's. They do have 20 returning starters. They have a very talented team and should do well in district. Vidor IMO gets beat alot by being out coached. This should be a good game to watch. I believe it will be close at 28-21 hopefuly in Vidors favor.

We got some pretty quick d linemen to counter those big guys on there o-line. Our guys aren't big but they are strong and fast. Those big jug butts better have and extra gear.

I agree with HillBoy their o-line may be big but if they arent quick then they dont have a chance to hold off our d-line. And all of those returning starters just mean more of the same team which means we will be seeing the same stuff we saw last year all over again. Bh will win 21- 14

That is my thought on the score of Fridays game. Vidor is a good team but as bad as they did last year agianst BH it would be hard to make me believe that they could win this year even with 16 returning starters.

I'm sorry, but I thought this was amusing. Towards the end of the article, the Vidor coach was quoted as saying that Anahuac had a chance to win at the end of the game before the 97 yd int return for Td by BH. Wasn't that in the first half?
