Ballinger 21, Clyde 7
Ballinger had a little over 300 yards offense and Clyde had about 150.
Ballinger's passing game was a little out of sink, but this is expected in the first game, especially when running the spread for the first time....this should improve. The defense was very stingy. The secondary was close to giving up some big plays but responded at the last minute. They will have to make up for a lack of speed. The run defense was very good except for not stopping a little quarterback counter in the 2nd quarter.
I wish Clyde the best. With the district that they are in....it could get very difficult for them in district. It sounds like Wylie, Sweetwater and Snyder are going to be as good as advertized.
