CAN FAIRFIELD EVEN MAKE THE PLAYOFFS WITHOUT LIGHTSEY??? I DONT THINK THEY HAVE THE PLAYERS TO STEP IT UP ANOTHER NOTCH....WORST 6-1 TEAM IN STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I'm going to say about that is ,yes they can make the playoffs without Kyle and yes they have the kids to step it up. Yes Marlinfan they do have a good D and several RB's. Good luck this week .

Kyle Lightsey is a RB/LB for Fairfield, a junior at about 6'0'' and probably about 220lbs. He has started since his freshman year on Varsity and was newcomer of the year his freshman year and all-district selection this past season. He was Fairfield's leading rusher, and tackler when he was injured averaging over 8 yards a carry and about 10 tackles a game. He was the defensive leader of the team and that is where he will be missed the most. Now justafan, I remember you running your mouth in week one and I was wondering if you were still around. Can Fairfield still make the playoffs w/out Kyle? Absolutely, because depth is what makes this team so good...not just one player. Fairfield will have a tough time with Crockett this week I think, because Crockett is a physical team that is on the verge of playoff elimination if they don't win. Fairfield will rise to the occasion though....worst 6-1 team in the state? Are you kidding me?

How did Kyle get hurt? Is his season over? Fill me in please?

Kyle blew out his knee in the 3rd quarter against Teague. He was rolled up on from behind by one of his teammates on a kickoff that was just one of those freak plays. He is out for the season, and his loss will definitely have an effect in the long run.
