Here is slpybear's thoughts on the game....

Bridgeport 34 vs. Breckenridge 25

Bridgeport looked pretty good overall. We had breakdowns in all phases of the game, but nothing to put a die hard Bullfan ill at ease.

Colin Jones started off his much heralded season with a bang... going 20-224 rushing with 2 TDs and 3-75 receiving and a touchdown.

The passing game was just a little off but I saw enough to see that it will be where it needs to be. Durban and Sanchez, Olmos, Jones and crew did a good job of moving the ball.

But HATS OFF to the Bulls defense! Wow, you guys were fired up and it showed. There are some big boys playing this year (on the O line too!) and you did a great job of controlling the line of scrimmage for most of the night. One of the TDs the Bulls allowed came off of a fumble miscue returned for a TD. So, I will be very proud of the progress you guys made and the 19 pts allowed. At the end of the game, you guys really shut things down and sealed the victory. It is going to be fun watching you this year!

Harris said Bulls by 9. Looks like we covered.

Great game to the Bucks... that number 10 is a star.

I am so glad Friday Night football resumed and the Bulls pulled down that first W!

Last year Breck threw the ball all over the place. I heard they were going to be a running team this year. Is that what happened?

If I am not mistaken, the FW Star Telegram stats had only 10-12 passing attempts by the Bucks.

If he was 10 of 12 then they need to increase the attempts.

Sorry, but not 10 of 12. I meant 10 to 12 total attempts.

Breck was about 90% run vs. pass. Bridgeport, about 45% run vs. pass.

IMHO, Breck should line up Vick in the backfield behind number 16 at QB and run the option like there is no tomorrow. And definitely work the passing game into it.

The Bucks are missing out if they aren't utilizing Heatley's arm.
That kid is a stud at QB.
