Good job pirates, I was at the Victoria Memorial game here in Houston, against Cyfalls or fair the score was 29 to 7 Cyfalls takes it. I went to the game cause I only stay 5 miles from the stadium on fm 1960. I had my Sinton Pirate shirt on so I was thinking of the team.

I think Taft lost by more points this year,but they have a much better team than last year, they may be good enough for a run at a playoff spot in there district.

Sinton had alot of passes, but the alot of the completed passes were out of the backfield. The longer routes were a little off. Need a little more work and touch on the downfield throws. Extra point kicks need a little work too. Not bad for Sinton's first game though. Have a good week of practice Pirates and put on your A game for those wildcats this week in Pirate stadium. Go Pirates!!

Paper this morning shows 180 for Ring on 12 carries. 116 yards on 7 carries in the first half. That young man's stepping it up.

You know, maybe I shouldn't say this but.....you gotta give it up for Taft...a 2a school that just keeps coming back year after year no matter how bleak the forecast is.....

I mean, they don't have to play you guys...there are plenty of other 2a schools and even 3a schools that would be competitive, but they seem to do it out of tradition...or something.....:thinking:

Just giving a little credit where I think it is due.....:thinking:

After what that community has been through, I'm glad to hear that they are doing well, despite the beat-down they took. Things were a mess in the spring and if it is turning around for THE STUDENT-ATHLETES OF TAFT then whatever was done was a good thing. Best of luck to a community that needs some.
