Your volleyball team was here at our tournament today. I saw them briefly but I was unable to go to the tournament. I gave them the sign as promised to their coach last year. Of course it is voided when you play Sinton :) I think the girls liked the sign.

Unfortunately I don't know because I only saw them very briefly and that was just before they were to get off the bus to eat.

The Boosters' Club sign said it lasts through Saturday.

BPhill, did you see where they are charging $8 per day to get into the tourney? What do you think about that?

Too high for me Once. I couldn't make it anyway but even if I could I couldn't have gone at that price. At that rate I won't be going Saturday either. I said I would support them as long as health, funds and circumstances permit - well they are on their way on the funds part especially with higher taxes and now high gate prices. They are worth it but when it gets too expensive that is it.

Hey, just wanted to give a shout out to an outstanding Lady Gobbler!

Glennis Massey, middle blocker, for the gobblers, leads the area in blocks! Way to go my friend!:D

Also wanted to give a small shoutout to a Lady Bulldog. Lauren Adamek in second in the area in assists! Had the chance to play a little bit in a Shiner tournament with Lauren, really a great person and athlete! Nice Job, keep up the good work to both of you!:clap:

Hey Once from $5 to $8 in one year! Talk about keeping ahead of the inflation rate! :) 60% rate increase!!

Not any use Once. When the gate increases to $4 per game I will not be going as much. Maybe just the home games and maybe when the games are out of town on Friday night when the football games are.

i dont know if the lady gobblers beat sinton..all i know is that they won two games and lost one..but they are in the championship bracket!!!! way to go girls!!!! good luck at the rest of the tournamet!!

I am not sure but I don't think the tournament continues today but finishes up tomorrow.

All the Caller Times reported on were the following scores from the Sinton tourney:

Ray def. Karnes City: 25-16, 25-17
Yoakum def Ray: 25-21, 25-15
Yorktown def. Ray: 16-25, 25-13, 25-23

No other scores were provided. :thinking: Now that I think about it...Sinton would be calling these in!! :doh: :o Oh, well.
