I know that Marlin is undefeated in district play for at least the past 6 years...maybe even 7. That seems like it should be one of the longest current district winning streaks in the state, at least in 3A. I would be interested in knowing what teams have an even longer winning streak.

its kinda hard acquiring that feat when u have Sweetwater, Snyder, and Abilene Wylie all three in a district

Gilmer hasn't lost in district since 2000 I think. Maybe 2001.

Last 2 seasons 29-1. It just feels good to say that.

Converse Judson had 60 undefeated district games in a row until SA Mac beat them back in 95-96 timeframe.

Might add that Schulenburg had 45 district wins in a row.

Guess I am to lazy to do the research but two teams come to mind. SLC when they were 3A and also Celina. If memory holds me correct i think one of these holds the record

Who cares about the past. The past is just that, the past. I know the argument that past winning seasons is an indicator how the next season will go, but not always! Fate seems to just sometimes, seemingly as a cruel joke, decide to step out onto the field herself/himself (which brings up the question is Fate a female or male, lol?) and......whamo.....when no one least expected it and then so much for what everybody thought would be a given winning season. The basis of their belief being based on the past. I think it is also called a false sense of security. There's always a bigger dog out there somewhere looking to flex it's muscle and become the new king of the hill.

Just as long as THIS season is that undefeated season is all that really matters to me. The present, the here and now!

Commendable, but I don't think this QUITE ranks up there with these other 3a legends that are being talked about here. When ya've been in 3a as long as some of these others and have an extensive winning record in 3a like they do, then we can talk.......
