first of all, thanks everyone for the support and prayers. seems like all of Sinton knew very soon. She is doing much better. she was smiling and talking tonite. she is still in ICU and will be there all nite. she will be in the hospital for about 3 days minimum. there was one fang bite and a big bruise next to it. the snake was pretty big from what i hear. the ambulance showed up and later the Halo Flight came and got her. they have had her taking an IV of antivenom which is helping. i will keep y'all informed of how things are. robbo93 (daddy) and mommy are hanging in there too. once again, thanks a bunch. God bless all of you.

unfortunately she is doesnt have a room yet and is in ICU. there is only one chair by the bed and it looks like a bar stool with a back. i did see several people sleeping on the chairs in the waiting room though.

my 3 brothers and i grew up in the country around rattlesnakes all the time. i even caught one with my shoelace one time and put it in a jar to take home. long story. dad killed it when he found out. anyway, i've seen alot of them and killed a few too but i guess i never had the respect for them that i should. this whole ordeal has giving me a new respect for rattlesnakes and i will be much more careful. and i will never complain of a bee sting for the rest of my life.

So, the reason she's still in ICU is only because there is no other room for her to go to?

she's in ICU so they can keep an eye on her. i would guess until they no longer need to give her the anti-venom.

Glad to hear she's doing better.:)

They usually keep you in ICU 24 hours after antivenom because you may have a reaction to it(rare but happens and to monitor swelling) It is made with Horses and sometimes that causes a reaction at least that's how it was explained to me. Believe it or not, she was lucky it was a larger snake becauses younger ones don't know how to control their venom. They release it all once, where older ones release only small amounts.

I never liked snakes before I got bit but I now I have a bigger respect for them. I was in hospital in the hospital five days and took over 3 weeks before I could even move my hand, still swells when weather changes. So I feel for her, and being a such a young child scaries me more because of I've been through it.

I'll continue to pray and hope she returns home soon and is painfree.

i think the City of Sinton might have a problem with a bunch of snake hunters roaming the park grounds, but i'd gladly volunteer if they didnt mind:D
