Of course it is. Any reason to increase the gas prices. Pretty soon they will be saying we should be happy that we are only paying $3 a gallon as opposed to $4.

Oil never got higher than $66.25 today. It was only up .1cents. Gas on the otherhand was up 6.78 cents in the nearby futures!

They are talking about the offshore oil rigs productions being stoped. Never the less it is just an excuess because all the oil being drilled in the gulf goes to the reserve.

They won't let us drill off the coast of Florida or California, or in the Alaska wilderness. But it is OK for all the Oil companies to drill off our coast in the gulf. You think that the high prices would spur oil exploration in our state.

actually im saving money by driving slower, but there is nothing i can do about my home cooling cost. my bills are going through the roof with the higher fuel costs. all i can do is frown and pay them :(

I didn't think the oil we got from those offshore rigs was consumed. I thought it was put in the reserve.

Even if the oil from those rigs is consumed, it's such a small percentage overall that it doesn't warrant the knee-jerk price reactions we see every time the wind blows higher than 20 mph in the gulf.
