It was called Jamaica Inn with Charles Laughton and Maureen O'Hara! A great suspenseful movie indeed typical of Hitchcock. It was one I had never seen before and was made in 1939 in England. After that movie he went to Hollywood and never returned to England to make movies until 1972 when he made Freenzy. This movie was unusual because Hitchcock did not make his usual cameo appearance plus all of his movies were set in the time that they were filmed except for this one which was set in the 1880s. A good movie indeed worth seeing when it comes again on TCM.
