What would games be like if alcohol were in the stands?
Would more fans come?
-I don't like it but I'm curious about some of these crazy football fans!

We don't need alcohol at any high school event.

no alcohol, yelling dads would throw things, yelling wives would throw their husbands, and i would feel sorry for the people who have to clean the stands afterward.......

It would be a disaster and probably resemble a WWF wrestling event.

Too many fans (parents) can't control their mouths when sober, much less under the influence. I am cringing just thinking about it!;)

Plus AP the greater risks of accidents on the way home after the game. Law suits would result against the schools.

there's a big difference from sneaking it in and actually selling it. maybe 1% of the people sneak it in, where as if it was for sell, probably 30% or more would have access to it.

When I was a kid I remember adults sipping out of bottles and standing around open fires coming out of a 55 gallon drums. I don't remember there ever being any problems. This day and time it would definetly be a problem. I also remember Burnet going two years without a win.:weeping: :weeping: :weeping:

You mean alcohol isn't allowed at HS games????? I thought that is why they invented halftime, so we had time to run out to the pickup for a cold one!

I confess... I drank beer at two high school games this year... outside of the stadium, but in view of the field... I'm such a bad boy...

Oh my gosh! One of our friends that we typically sit by is mouthy enough! I would seriously consider sitting on the opposing teams' side if he had alcohol available.

Alcohol would be a problem at high school games. For years as a Deputy Sheriff I worked security at the games. Never any problems unless a fan had to much to drink before he got to the games. Biggest deal was halftime when they would go out to the parking lots and sit in their cars and drink. That's when it got bad. We threw several fans in jail from Cuero and another school who I will not name. Alcohol does not belong on school property in my opinion.

People would act stupid causing fights for no reason especially
if there was a bad call made by a ref . Then I bet car accidents would be caused in the parking lot after the game. Since there's
tend to be alot of traffic leaving school grounds.

Enjoy a cold beer with the best of em'---but alcohol should never be present at any event in which children participate. There are plenty of adult sporting venues which allow the consumption of alcohol, if we so desire.

Ask Coach Roark from Rice Consolidated if alcohol is a good idea at halftime. Excuse me, former Coach Roark.
