SweeneyBulldog,

If you go to the main page, click on Region IV, then go to District 28-3A, I've got a summary of my thoughts on the district, and my predicted finish. I think you'll like my picks, but I have a disclaimer with them.

Wharton has as much talent as anyone in the state...if they can put it together they could be a sleeper in Region 4...Sweeny and Rice both were hurt some by graduation I think Rice was hurt a little bit more than Sweeney....Edna is another team that could be a sleeper as well...

Matthew, historically speaking, when Sinton has had a follow-up year to a strong run, Edna is usually strong that second year, in fact they knocked us out of the playoffs in one of Davenport's follow-up years. Don't know why, just seems to work out that way.

Edna will be stong. They will have a lot of speed in the skill positions and some size. They got stronger with 2 transfers . A linebacker from class 4A Bay City and Gary Roberts From Vanderbilt Industrial. It is going to be interesting who will be the starting quarterback. Roberts was a two year starter for Industrial at Quarterback and Japhus Brown started for Edna. Both teams last year ran a semi-Veer offense. Both can make things happen. Roberts is the bigger of the two at 6'3" and 190. Edna is going to be tough. All they need is to develope some CONSISTENCY.
