What famous person(s) came from your hometown?

I have no memories of watching him play since I was born the year before he went 1st overall in the NFL draft, but I would guess it would have to be Johnny "Lam" Jones. I've been told that what he did at the state track meet in I believe 1976 was voted to be the single greatest moment in the history of the event by a panel of sportswriters who have covered the UIL state meet.

From my old hometown of Freer High School I would say Steve McMichael who played defensive lineman at UT and later for the Chicago Bears and was a starter on their Super Bowl Team in the 80s.

If I'm not mistaken, he won the 100 and 200 and ran the anchor leg of the mile relay - I think his team won the AAA State Track meet that year.
