Is it just me or does everyone dread going to these events....I have one today in Poth, TX, and I'm having to make myself go!

So, just wanted to start up a thread to see what all ya'll think about Family Reunions!

The family reunions on my mother's father's side of the family are a blast...

We usually have them in the Canyon Lake area...

A lot of the family (well, the younger people) will take a week of vacation that week and camp or get a lodge on the lake and drink, eat and fish until the reunion on Saturday...

Out of my grandfather's 10 sibblings, only one survives and she's cool... It's always cool seeing her, she's the greatest...

I'll be attending a "mini" family reunion next weekend in NE Louisiana for my grandmother's 100th birthday. Both of my parents were from very small families, and they are all in Louisiana, so Christmas and Easter was the closest thing to a family reunion we had, but we did have fun :)
