Man Dayton was huge, especially the lines. You could certainly tell their a Big school 4A. We improved from last week and should have won tonight if not for 3 turnovers. Beasley had a 98 yard TD run.

From my understanding, Silsbee defeated LCM 35-0. First team scored 4 td's, second team 1, but whose counting. How was that QB for Dayton? He played for Lumberton the last 2 years before getting kicked off the team. He's a discipline problem.

Their running back Dugat had 1,931 yards with 25 TD"s in 4A last year. He was tough but we finally slowed him down.

I thought the QB was pretty good. He had a strong arm and was pretty accurate, and he made some very good decisions as to when to run or stay in the pocket. He showed good patience, but wasn't afraid to run if he had to, and although not tremendously fast, he seemed to have a good feel of where to run -- good field vision. I'd say he was their best player on offense last night.

wosfan, Dugat didn't have 50 yards rushing last night... Gilley definitely looked polished after 2 years running the Lumberton offense. He threw the ball well and looked good scrambling, he was their leading rusher. I think our run defense is tough, pass defense needs some work.

Aggies, I'd be careful about making accusations about these kids like you have done with Gilley. From what I understand, he left Lumberton because he was getting no exposure and his mother works in the Dayton school district. Oh... and the Silsbe LCM scrimmage was 21-7.

This thread is going south really fast! Talk about the scrimmage, but not any problems a player may or may not have had.
