and Robert Redford there was Neville Brand and Alan Hale Jr. in The Three Outlaws made in 1956. This movie will be showon on Encore Westerns (Channel 529 on Direct TV) this coming Tuesday at 8:10 A.M. and it is 1 1/2 hours long. This is a good movie indeed based on the two famous outlaws. Neville Brand stars as Butch Cassidy. In real life he was a WW2 hero and starred in many movies usually as a villian. He starred in the 60s popular tv series called Texas Rangers. In 1958 he also played Butch Cassidy in the George McGomery Western Badman's Country. Alan Hale Jr. stars as the Sundance Kid. He later was famous as the Skipper in Gilligan's Island. The third outlaw is played by Robert Christopher as Bill Carver. Bruce Bennett plays the detective, Charlie trenton, who pursues them. He was a shot put star in the 20s and won the silver medal in the 1928 Olympics. He also starred as Tarzan in some of the movies in the 30s. A good movie indeed and if you can't watch it live get the recorders set.
